We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Civil Structural Engineer to join our team at Scantec, a leading construction and engineering solutions company. This is a long-term contract role, working on a hybrid basis and outside of IR35.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert civil and structural advice, conducting analysis, calculations, and preparing reports and specifications.
  • Lead small projects and take charge of sub-tasks from a technical standpoint, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with BIM teams, other disciplines, construction personnel, and stakeholders to communicate designs effectively.
  • Conduct site visits, design reviews, and client meetings across the Northwest region, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, driving their growth and development within the team.
  • Implement and challenge value engineering solutions, ensuring optimal project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in civil and structural engineering, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects.
  • Excellent technical skills, with the ability to lead and manage small projects and sub-tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to travel for site visits, design reviews, and client meetings, as required.
