Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, taking into account materials, labour, and other relevant factors. Develop project budgets and cost plans to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Tendering and Procurement: Assist in the tendering process by preparing tender documents, analysing bids, and recommending suitable contractors and suppliers. Participate in negotiations and contract awards to secure the best deals for our clients.
- Measurement and Valuation: Measure and quantify materials and labour required for construction projects. Prepare interim valuations, progress reports, and final accounts to ensure accurate payment to contractors.
- Cost Control and Monitoring: Monitor project costs against budgets and forecasts. Maintain accurate records of project expenditures and commitments to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks that may affect project costs or schedules. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and minimize their impact on the project.
- Contract Administration: Administer construction contracts, including interpreting contract terms, resolving disputes, and issuing contractual notices as necessary. Ensure that all contractual obligations are met and that our clients' interests are protected.
