Position Purpose

As an LGV Class 1 Driver, you will play a vital role in the safe and timely transportation of clinical and industrial waste. You will work as part of our dedicated transportation team, ensuring excellent customer service while adhering to all legal compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily schedules according to agreed routes and timings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to drivers' hours and working time directives, ensuring full compliance with legislation.
  • Adhere to all statutory requirements concerning road traffic laws, vehicle regulations, digital tachograph records, weight limits, and speed limits.
  • Comply with all relevant ADR/Hazardous goods legislation requirements.
  • Follow company standard operating procedures meticulously.
  • Act as a customer contact at delivery points, providing polite and courteous service to customers and road users.
  • Attend work instructions, trainings, and staff meetings as required.
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned and demonstrate a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
  • Report any accidents or incidents promptly and complete all necessary company documentation.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle checks before use and notify Service Coordinators of any defects through the appropriate channels.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid LGV Class 1 Licence (with C+E entitlement), Driver CPC, and Digi Card.
  • ADR Training is preferred.
