Project Manager Job Description

Regent's University London is a private institution with a stunning Central London campus, situated in the heart of Royal Regent's Park.

Salary range: from £42,400 - £52,776

Grade: H

Hours: 35 per week

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of business-critical projects, collaborating with colleagues across the institution to ensure timely and accurate delivery of outputs.
  • Provide high-quality project, secretariat, and administrative support, including leading meeting agendas and formal note-taking as required, as well as capturing ownership or delegation of actions.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate project documentation, including business cases, project charters, workstream plans, risk & issues logs, stakeholder & communications plans, lessons learned, closure reports, and so forth.
  • Take responsibility for identifying project risks and issues, ensuring risks are mitigated and issues are resolved. Document these in the lessons learned section of the project closure report.
  • Oversee the programme or project action logs, managing the progress of actions, ensuring owners are kept on track, updating against progress, and ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining quality.
  • Coordinate the development and continuous delivery of project communication.
  • Coordinate complex schedules and diaries to organize project meetings or executive meetings in a timely manner.
  • Undertake desk-based research to support project development as and when required.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across Regent's and external partners or suppliers.
  • Support the day-to-day activities to ensure they progress against the agreed timescale, cost, scope, dependencies, risks mitigation, output, and outcome.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of project delivery and implementation, feeding back as required.
  • Analyze datasets and complex information to produce reports or presentations as required.
  • Build and maintain effective and productive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and third parties and support the University's values.
  • Actively seek to implement the University's Health and Safety policy, giving due regard to the health and safety of themselves and others when carrying out duties.
