About the Role

Rare is an Xbox Game Studio creating innovative games that push the boundaries of the industry. As a Live Services Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and operating the services that support our games, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of players worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable systems to support our games, leveraging modern development practices such as continuous delivery and automated testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality tested services, utilizing.NET and Azure Cosmos DB, to support Rare's current and future games.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and agile methodologies to drive engineering excellence.
