About the Role
Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our East Early Intervention for Psychosis team. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in supporting individuals experiencing first episode psychosis, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold a share of the team caseload, working closely with experienced clinicians to provide evidence-based interventions and support individuals in achieving positive health outcomes.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, incorporating social inclusion and recovery approaches, in line with NICE guidelines.
- Collaborate with other agencies and GP surgeries to create opportunities for individuals and promote collaborative working.
- Provide education and support to clients and their support networks, promoting empowerment and self-management.
- Participate in regular supervision and monthly service-focused CPD events to ensure ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- BSc/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- Experience of working with patients with complex needs
- Relevant post-graduate experience in specialist areas, such as AMPS, sensory integration, DBT, CBT, MOHOST, or ALLENS cognitive scales
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of working with individuals experiencing first episode psychosis
- Group work skills and facilitation training
