As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the production of our management and statutory accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the integrity of transactions within the General Ledger to ensure accurate financial reports.
  • Assisting with balance sheet account reconciliation, ensuring timely action on outstanding items.
  • Coordinating stock counts across the business, with a focus on inventory management and KPIs.
  • Calculating revenue, cost of gas, and stock movement journals at month-end.
  • Working with the business to strengthen links between sites and finance, using KPIs to improve working capital management.
  • Participating in the external audit process, dealing directly with external auditors.
  • Producing the UK Statutory Accounts, ensuring compliance with UK Accounting Standards.
  • Reporting governance, coordinating with the parent company to ensure compliance with agreed reporting definitions.
  • Supporting new ways of working, participating in departmental initiatives, and undertaking ad-hoc projects.
