Audit and Accounts Senior

ProTalent Limited is currently working with a successful and long-established accountancy firm to recruit a new Audit & Accounts Senior.

- Work covers everything from straightforward routine to complex and unusual
About the Role:
- Deliver the audit files in accordance with UK GAAP
- Plan and deliver audit assignments
- Prepare limited company accounts for a variety of clients to be reviewed by managers/directors
- Supervise junior staff during the audit and review their work
- Prepare partnership and sole trade accounts
- Manage client communication in an effective manner
- Monitor assignment budgets proactively
- Prepare corporation tax computations for review
- Prepare personal and partnership tax returns
- Manage management accounts
- Prepare and review VAT returns
- Highlight any deficiencies with client records or areas for concern to managers/directors and recommend actions for improvement
- Mentor junior accounts and audit trainees
About the Candidate:
- A strong academic background and experience working within an accounting practice environment
- Unquestionable integrity, excellent verbal and written communication, and strong logical and analytical skills
- Flexibility and organisation in managing their own time to deadlines
- Ability to work in a highly professional team environment
- Proactive communication with Audit and Accounts Seniors, Managers, and Directors to enable consistent workflow and execution
- Ability to assist more junior team members
- Professional and friendly communication
- Dedication to technical competence and own continuing professional development
