Job Description

GSL Education - Leicester is seeking a dedicated and passionate Chemistry Educator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Science, incorporating theoretical concepts and practical applications.
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities of students.
  • Develop and deliver dynamic chemistry lessons to high school students.
  • Prepare and implement laboratory experiments to enhance learning.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary curricula and share best practices.
  • Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • The ability to deliver the national curriculum in Chemistry across KS3 and KS4.
  • Passion and dedication to supporting every student to reach their full potential.
  • Specialism in either Science and Chemistry area, with demonstrable expertise in the subject area.
  • Must hold a Chemistry Degree or similar.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for lifelong learning.
Additional Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check – Must be on the update service.
  • 2x Educational References are a must in order to clear your file with GSL.
