We are seeking a highly creative and self-motivated Junior Lighting Designer to join our dynamic team at Light iQ, an award-winning independent lighting design consultancy. Our company designs innovative and inspirational lighting schemes for residential and commercial projects in the UK and abroad.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a passion for lighting and world-class design, with a strong academic background in a relevant field such as Architecture, Design, Interior Design, or Product Design. Key skills and requirements include:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT, with knowledge of Photoshop and free-hand drawing skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats.
  • A natural interest in architecture, interior design, and product design.
  • Residence in Greater London, with the ability to work on-site.

Responsibilities

The Junior Lighting Designer will work alongside Senior staff and Directors on all projects and daily tasks, supporting the team in delivering high-quality lighting designs. The role will involve:

  • Assisting in the design and development of lighting schemes for residential and commercial projects.
  • Collaborating with the design team to create innovative and inspirational lighting designs.
  • Providing technical support and expertise in lighting design software and tools.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
