Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to access the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students with their Educational Healthcare Plans (ECHPs) and monitor their progression.
- Work with pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to target individual learning needs.
- Monitor pupil performance and communicate feedback with teaching staff, parents, and pupils.
- Manage pupil behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Be aware of safeguarding procedures and handle situations appropriately.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with autism or other learning requirements.
- Good understanding of Special Educational Needs and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Ability to work with pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
