Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Lawyer to join our team at Law Absolute.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice on commercial, contracts, procurement, trading, and corporate law. This will include:

• Providing expert legal advice on complex commercial matters, including contract law and procurement legislations and practices.
• Managing and advising on a wide range of complex matters, including deputizing for the Principal Lawyer in their absence.
• Supporting the Principal Lawyer in managing the strategic and operational delivery of the Commercial Team, and providing a responsive, high-quality, and effective legal service.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an admitted Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX of England and Wales with a current practicing certificate. You will also need to have a good knowledge of commercial law, contract law, and procurement legislations and practices.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with the team.
• Ability to evaluate information in complex situations and confidently make decisions independently.
• Previous local authority experience is essential.
