We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Estates Management team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in estates management, with experience of leading teams and managing budgets. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our estate operations, and for ensuring that our facilities are safe and suitable for patients, staff, and visitors.
You will work closely with our Director of Estates and Facilities, and other senior leaders to develop and implement our estate strategy, and to ensure that our facilities are aligned with our business objectives.

Main Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Estates Management team, including the development and implementation of strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and manage budgets for estates operations, including capital and revenue expenditure.
- Ensure that our facilities are safe and suitable for patients, staff, and visitors, and that we comply with all relevant legislation and regulations.
- Work closely with our Director of Estates and Facilities, and other senior leaders to develop and implement our estate strategy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders and other stakeholders on estates management issues.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our estate operations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that our facilities are safe and suitable for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Professional qualification in estates management or a related field.
- Significant experience of leading teams and managing budgets.
- Strong knowledge of estates management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think strategically and to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality results and to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our estate operations.
