Job Title: English Teacher for Children

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English teacher to join our team as a daily supply teacher for KS1 and KS2 pupils in Nottingham City and surrounding areas.

About the Role:

As an English teacher for children, you will be responsible for providing phonics and English support to pupils who are working below age-expected levels. You will work closely with classroom teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify students who need additional support and design intervention programs
  • Work closely with classroom teachers and parents to ensure student progress
  • Assess student levels and collaborate with class teachers to integrate learning gaps into lesson plans
  • Provide phonics and English support to pupils in small groups
Requirements:
  • Qualified teacher status
  • Experience in supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 who are working below age-expected levels
  • Previous experience of assessing student levels and collaborating with class teachers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Flexibility and availability to work on a daily supply basis
  • An enhanced DBS check on the update service
