Lightspeed is a rapidly growing company that's revolutionizing the way businesses operate. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data Engineering practice within the Data Foundations team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to establish and maintain insights for our corporate partners, leveraging data to drive business growth and innovation. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing analytics and insights that will transform how Lightspeed and our customers do business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleanse and transform raw data into actionable business insights to inform stakeholders and drive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, and data architects to design and implement data models that meet business needs.
  • Ensure data quality, usability, and availability across the organization, promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain SQL/Python queries and scripts that are efficient, scalable, and easy to understand.
  • Automate testing and monitoring of data models to ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Provide technical leadership on data solutions that drive business value and innovation.
  • Work with the team to continuously improve our data pipeline and data infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • Proficient skills in SQL and Python, with experience in data analysis and business intelligence.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data visualization.
  • Ability to break down complex projects into manageable tasks and deliver results.
  • Experience with BI tools, such as Looker, and MPP data warehouses, such as BigQuery.
  • Experience with data orchestration, data quality validation, and cloud environments, such as GCP.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong understanding of industry-standard design patterns.
