About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Systems Analyst to join our team at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. As a key member of our Finance Systems team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our finance and forecasting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead system improvements for finance and forecasting systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Manage system access, develop workflows, and document key processes to ensure efficient and effective system administration.
  • Provide technical support to users across the organization, collaborating with the Adaptive Solution Architect to manage configuration changes.
  • Ensure system compliance with company policies and protocols, maintaining integration with other business systems like UBW and Workday.
  • Develop and maintain system administration guidelines and checklists, leading training sessions for new users.
  • Seek out opportunities for system improvement through user feedback and data analysis, presenting cases for change to the Head of Financial Systems Team.
Requirements
  • Experience in Financial Budgeting and Planning systems, with Adaptive Insight preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, or related area, and/or part-qualified accountant.
  • Experience of finance system e.g. UBW.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff, clearly presenting ideas and solutions to complex technical issues.
  • Proven ability to influence and persuade, with high-level problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to actively question and listen to problem-solve, with experience in driving and managing change in a complex organization.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams.
