Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Leader to join our team at One Stop. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of retail professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the team to deliver a seamless shopping experience for customers.
  2. Manage store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues.
  3. Provide on-the-job coaching and feedback to team members to improve their skills and performance.
  4. Monitor and analyze store performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing practical actions to address them.
  5. Collaborate with the Store Manager to coordinate seasonal, community, and charity events, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the store.
  6. Ensure the store is always clean, tidy, and well-presented, maintaining high standards of visual merchandising and store appearance.
  7. Prioritize the replenishment of products to meet customer demand, minimizing stockouts and overstocking.
  8. Proactively manage queues and customer flow to deliver a smooth and efficient shopping experience.
  9. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the store's operations, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance customer satisfaction and team performance.
  10. Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders, providing clear and concise information to ensure seamless operations.
  11. Support the Store Manager in managing absence, ensuring that the store is adequately staffed and that return-to-work interviews are conducted for colleagues who have been absent.
  12. Build strong relationships with colleagues, Area Managers, and People Partners, seeking advice and support when needed and benefiting from coaching opportunities.
