Finance and Payroll Officer

FryerMiles Recruitment Limited is partnering with a leading school in High Wycombe to find a skilled Finance and Payroll Officer. This permanent role will involve working 41 weeks per year, during school term times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the school's finance team and assist the Senior Leadership Team with financial data as required.
  • Process purchasing card transactions, reconcile credit card control accounts, and input accounting data into the accounting system with accuracy.
  • Manage staff changes in the payroll system, including new starters and leavers, and undertake monthly payroll reconciliation.
  • Produce monthly management accounts and present outcomes to the Director of Business Services.
  • Assist Heads of Departments/Key Stages in managing their budgets, producing financial reports, and providing training on the finance system.
  • Ensure all processing procedures align with the Trust's Financial Procedures Handbook and Scheme of Financial Delegation.
  • Plan and manage your workload to meet the school's financial reporting needs.
  • Support other finance team members with trip finance, ParentMail, and invoices.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in a similar finance position.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
