The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified spa therapist to join our team at Rowhill Grange Hotel & Utopia Spa. As a Senior Spa Therapist, you will play a key role in supporting our experienced Spa Manager and Spa Supervisor in managing the Utopia Spa team, including 25 therapists and the spa reception team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the team is set up for the day, including treatment rooms, treatment plans, and therapist appearance and grooming.
  • Ensure treatment delivery meets the highest standards.
  • Manage treatment times and make effective changes or adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain treatment rooms and public areas to the highest standard throughout the working day.
  • Keep the team informed about promotions and current offers.
  • Be available to support therapists, receptionists, and guests with any queries or advice.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels in collaboration with the spa supervisor and spa manager.

Training and Support

  • Be involved in the recruitment and induction training of new team members.
  • Support new and existing therapists to achieve required treatment standards through ongoing training and support.
  • Help therapists achieve their retail targets and commission payments.
  • Assist the spa supervisor and spa manager with performance management of the team.

Operational

  • Deliver a morning briefing to the team to ensure a smooth day.
  • Pre-empt any issues to ensure a smooth day.
  • Be competent to cover therapists and reception during periods of high demand.
  • Be involved in the recruitment of therapists as directed by the spa supervisor/spa manager.

Requirements

  • Level 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy qualification, or equivalent.
  • Relevant spa and therapist experience within a quality operation.
  • Supportive attitude to the team with team management experience.
  • Good IT/reception skills.
  • Experienced customer service provider in a beauty/spa operation.
  • Ability to demonstrate personal ownership of tasks and ensure completion to achieve required results.
