We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Unite Foundation. As a key member of our Facilities Team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional student experiences through high-quality planned and reactive maintenance, customer service, and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Expertise: Provide technical support for electrical maintenance and facilities works, including maintenance of domestic and commercial electrical installations, EICR testing, lightning protection, and other related tasks.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform planned and reactive maintenance works, including general repair and maintenance tasks, as required.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to students, responding to maintenance and health and safety-related calls within required service level agreements.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall City operational team in delivering its business plan and broader objectives.
- Administration: Maintain Unite Students information systems, ensuring customer data is accurate, secure, and compliant with the Data Protection Act.
- Qualifications: 17th Edition to amendment 3, NVQ/SVQ Level 3, City and Guilds 2360 Part 1 and 2, City and Guilds 2394 and 2395, and other relevant certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience as an electrician, with experience in reactive and planned maintenance, and working in the student accommodation, hospitality, social housing, or retail sectors.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy, ability to use Microsoft Office and PDA maintenance systems, and experience with electronic locking systems, intercoms, and other related technologies.
- Personal Qualities: Ability to offer flexibility in working hours, willingness to take part in the on-call rota, and possession of a full UK driving license.
- Competitive Salary: £36,000 - £39,000 + bonus + benefits (depending on experience).
- Discretionary Annual Bonus: Share in the company's success with a discretionary annual bonus.
- Pension Scheme: Employer contributions between 5% and 11% depending on how much you save.
