Job Description

Role Summary

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a highly skilled Senior Communications Officer to join its team. As a key member of the Judicial Communications team, you will be responsible for implementing strategies that shape the broader culture within the judiciary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative communications solutions to encourage Judicial Office Holders to engage with content that leads to desired behavioral change.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider communications team and other colleagues across the Judicial Office to meet broader objectives.
  • Build strong and effective relationships with colleagues across the Judicial Office, HMCTS, and MoJ to gain early involvement with judicial communications aspects of their work.
  • Design and develop content for the judicial website, social media channels, and internal communications.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing communications methods and channels, using insight to support future communications across the entire Communications Team.

Requirements

  • Communications experience in creating content for a range of audiences.
  • Understanding audience needs and producing tailored content.
  • Knowledge of website/intranet content management systems.
  • Videography/filming and editing experience.

Working Arrangements

The Ministry of Justice offers a flexible working system in many offices. Standard full-time working hours are 37 hours per week. MoJ welcomes part-time, flexible, and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs.
