Job Title: Deputy Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Finance Manager to join our team at Dorking Healthcare Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production of accurate and timely accounts, ensuring invoices and claims are raised and non-payment is regularly chased, and maintaining Xero and other accounting records in a timely and accurate manner.

About the Role

The Deputy Finance Manager will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure strong performance of the finance function of the organisation, including line managing two assistants. Assisting with the day-to-day running of the department, this will include payroll and transactional accounting.

The successful candidate will have a strong eye for detail and be able to maintain accuracy in financial records. They will also be organised with good time management skills, able to form and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, contractors, suppliers, etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the production of accurate and timely accounts
  • Ensure invoices and claims are raised and non-payment is regularly chased
  • Maintain Xero and other accounting records in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist with payroll and transactional accounting
  • Line manage two assistants
Requirements
  • Part qualified accountant with a professional accounting body or part/fully qualified AAT
  • Previous successful finance/accounting experience (minimum of three years)
  • Experience of using financial/accounting systems, Word, and Excel
  • Running payroll and understanding tax, pension, and statutory obligations
  • Working knowledge of Xero (or ability to learn and develop skills)
