Culinary Expert

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Expert to lead our kitchen team at Southwell Court Care home. Our care home offers a unique blend of nursing and dementia care in a 72-bed setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and instructing kitchen staff members in the use of equipment and hygiene procedures. They will also be expected to maintain and improve their professional knowledge and competence, ensuring that all equipment is clean and well-maintained. Additionally, they will be responsible for providing special dietary requirements and taking into account the preferences of individual service users. The ideal candidate will be a team player with good communication skills and a basic food hygiene certificate. They will also be responsible for ensuring statutory health and safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas, reporting any incidents or hazards to the Home Manager or Person in Charge. The successful candidate will be expected to promote safe working practices in the care centre and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
