This role involves a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, with the expectation of being on call as part of a scheduled rota.
We seek a versatile professional with prior management experience in a comparable setting. Comprehensive training and support will be provided, along with opportunities for professional growth.
As the Facilities Engineering Supervisor, you will oversee the ongoing maintenance of the site’s infrastructure and equipment, ensuring a reliable and safe engineering service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directing the team through daily briefings, monthly discussions, and regular one-on-one meetings with team members.
- Ensuring effective task prioritization to maintain a safe and efficient facility.
- Overseeing the establishment of a planned preventative maintenance system and ensuring consistent standards for all routine inspections and replacements. Leading the service, testing, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, plant, and equipment.
- Maintaining accurate records of test results in accordance with current standards and regulations.
- Participating in regulatory meetings to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Leading the emergency maintenance team outside of regular hours by coordinating weekend coverage for essential maintenance and supervising contractors.
- Additionally, you will be expected to provide on-call support for the site on a scheduled basis.
Candidate Profile:
- The ideal candidate should possess an advanced background in electrical, plumbing, or engineering disciplines, with some experience in building services.
- Desirable experience includes knowledge of CSSD, Endoscopy, and Hydrotherapy plant maintenance.
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role.
