Position: Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Central Bristol - Onsite 5 days a week during the initial probation period, transitioning to 1 day a week remote work thereafter.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Director. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will manage the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate month-end reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee month-end closing processes, including journal entries and ledger accuracy.
  • Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to maintain a controlled financial environment.
  • Manage the monthly payroll process, including necessary journal entries.
  • Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns.
  • Assist with R&D tax credit submissions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance team members.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A Manager during month-end activities.
  • Support the annual audit process.
  • Assist with due diligence for major investment initiatives.
