Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Autism Experience Teaching Assistant to join our team at EdEx Education Recruitment Careers. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with ASD, tailoring teaching methods to meet their unique needs and abilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective educational plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support and progress.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting pupils with ASD.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with ASD, either in a school or other setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative strategies to support pupils with ASD.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Passion for supporting pupils with ASD and commitment to ongoing professional development.
