About the Role

As a Prisoner Custody Officer with Serco, you will play a vital role in providing safe and secure escorting and custody services to detainees. Your primary focus will be on the physical and mental wellbeing of those in your care, ensuring their safety and security throughout the court process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany defendants in court rooms and cells, ensuring their safety and security at all times.
  • Search property or people as required, maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Ensure food and drink are available to detainees, adhering to dietary requirements and restrictions.
  • Complete paperwork and data entry for the day, maintaining accurate records and reports.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current valid driver's license.
