About the Opportunity

Westlakes Recruit is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team in the South West. As a key member of our Nuclear Power Programmes team, you will be responsible for delivering client critical works on major UK and European projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain monthly reporting for the NI Programme, integrated into the RD reporting
  • Manage a NI tracker list of open points, with regular progress follow-up with clients
  • Identify and manage interfaces between NI Programme and other sequences
  • Monitor delivery and ensure project LOD (via Paladin) and project schedule are up to date
  • Organize progress meetings with NNB and manage interfaces with NNB on all workstreams
  • Manage contractual documentation to support the project manager
  • Examine NNB requests with the support of business services
Requirements
  • Degree in engineering, project management, or other relevant subject
  • Previous experience of project control, including cost control, governance & reporting, project management, risk management, planning/scheduling, interface with document control, and delivery
  • Technical knowledge of civil engineering
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to manage numerous interfaces, ability to synthesize, and pragmatic approach
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Team player with an open mind and readiness to work on a multi-cultural context and with multiple stakeholders
