Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Avionic Technician to join our team at BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a range of detailed maintenance activities on aircraft, including modification embodiments, component removals, inspections, repairs, fault rectifications, replacements, and functional/system tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake and complete tasked maintenance and diagnostic activities on aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with approved data and organisational procedures.
  • Analyse and diagnose faults to aircraft and equipment, following diagnostic procedures and working effectively within a team.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members and demonstrate a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities.
  • Maintain own task authorisations for working on an aircraft in accordance with AMC requirements.
  • Engage with PDR process and maintain an interest in self-development, ensuring continuous improvement and application of knowledge.
  • Show sound communication and people skills to ensure essential information can be communicated effectively.
  • Maintain personal Log Book to demonstrate currency and recency, on completion of On the Job training (OJT) activities.
  • Engage in the local applicable Error Management Processes.
Requirements
  • Academic qualification for this role is a minimum of City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Typically, 2+ years' experience including type, classed as fully competent with all required Authorisations in place.
  • Requires general product knowledge/competency within own technical/subject area and a basic knowledge of those elements in other areas.
  • Awareness of how the team integrates with others in order to achieve the overall objectives of the area and demonstrates an understanding of the requirement for continuous improvement and its application.
  • Hawk Composite Flight Servicing- Pass.
  • Trade 'Q' Course- Pass.
  • Leadership- Foundation.
  • Human Factors- Standard Course Specification.
  • E&PW Awareness- Standard Course Specification.
  • ITAR Awareness- Standard Course Specification.
