Position Title: HGV Class 1 Trunk Driver

Location: Yeovil

Employment Type: Temporary Contract

Working Hours: Monday to Friday with 1300 starts

Compensation: £17.37 per hour

MDE Group UK LTD is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Trunk Drivers to become part of our client's well-established team in the Yeovil region.

Role Overview:

The role involves executing Class 1 hub runs, with occasional shunting duties required at the hub during unloading operations. Assistance with unloading at the hub is rarely necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of tachograph regulations and working time directives.
  2. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any discrepancies immediately.
  3. Provide excellent customer service during all interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid UK HGV Class 1 Licence, with a preference for candidates having at least 2 years of experience.
  • A maximum of 6 penalty points on driving record, with no major endorsements (DD/DG/DR/IN/TT/CD/UT).
  • Current Tacho and CPC certifications are required.
