Experience Required:
A minimum of 6 months of experience working with SEN is essential.
Certification Requirements:
SEN Educators must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
DBS Requirement:
A current DBS on the update service is mandatory. Experience with a range of SEN needs such as ADHD, ASD, PMLD, and behavioral challenges is highly advantageous.
SEN Support Staff Responsibilities:
As a member of our SEN Support Staff, your duties will include:
1. Providing assistance to individual students both inside and outside the classroom to facilitate their full participation in activities.
2. Supporting students with emotional or behavioral challenges and aiding in the development of their social skills.
SEN Educator Responsibilities:
As an SEN Educator, your responsibilities will include:
1. Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons customized to meet the unique needs of students with SEN.
2. Developing and executing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff members and parents.
3. Managing student behavior in accordance with the school's policies and promoting positive behavior.
4. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, to address the needs of students.
