Job Description

As an MEP Manager at R W Armstrong & Sons Limited, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on large-scale construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that these systems are designed, installed, and commissioned to the highest standards, meeting the needs of our clients and their occupants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret design information to ensure that MEP sub-contractors have accurate and timely information to progress installation in line with the agreed programme.
  • Review tender packages to ensure scope gaps are identified and that tenderers have correctly interpreted drawings and specifications.
  • Arrange and chair regular sub-contractor progress meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Work closely with project and site management teams to develop short-term look-ahead programmes and identify areas of risk.
  • Assist the QS team in assessing progress on site to enable accurate monthly valuations of MEP elements.
  • Liaise with the RWA Quality Manager to ensure compliance with the project quality plan.
Requirements
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Prior experience working on refurbishment of listed buildings or super prime residential projects
  • Ability to act in a manner befitting the company image
  • Confidence in dealing with senior-level sub-contractor management teams
  • Professional communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to de-escalate and negotiate differences of opinion
