Job Summary:
Pilgrim's Europe is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Controller to lead the strategy and growth of our brands and products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and maximize market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead a team of sales professionals and provide strategic direction to ensure sales targets are met.
- Profit and Loss (P&L) Management: Oversee the P&L for our brands and products, ensuring profitability and growth.
- Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including Category Buying Managers and Head of MFP/Customer & Pilgrim's Europe Snr Team.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and maximize market share.
- Team Management: Manage and develop a team of SCM, CM, CE to ensure sales targets are met.
- Category Management: Lead the growth of our brands and products across key accounts in line with business objectives.
- Communication: Be the voice of our customers internally, championing their strategies and objectives to ensure plans are aligned to each customer.
- Business Development: Lead out and execute growth strategies, including Go to Market Strategies and PPA Revenue Planning.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Lead cross-functional Business Team across respective categories.
Requirements:
- Background: Strong background in major retail account management, typically with a minimum of 5 years working at National Account Manager Level.
- Experience: Proven track record of success working with at least one of the top Grocery multiple accounts.
- Brands and Products: Experience with brands and products, able to understand consumer preferences as well as retailer preferences.
- Communication Skills: Concise communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Negotiation and Influencing Skills: Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Analytical and Project Management Skills: Highly analytical with excellent project management and presentation skills.
- Leadership and Coaching Skills: Ability to lead and set direction while remaining very hands on, with previous success in coaching and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated, able to self-manage.
- Commercial or Sales Experience: Experienced Commercial or Sales Controller.
- Industry Experience: Preferably experience gained in a major FMCG organisation with a good reputation for structured sales training.
- Category Management Understanding: Understanding of category management.
- Food Industry Experience: Food industry experience.
