Aquatic Instructor

Position: Aquatic Instructor Level 2

Salary: £16.50 per hour (Level 2 Qualified)

Job Type: 12.5 hours Fixed Term

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver an engaging and effective 'Learn to Swim' Programme (L2S) for diverse age groups and skill levels, fostering ongoing participation and advancement through strategic planning, organization, and coaching.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the L2S programme, ensuring sessions are consistent and of high quality.
• Facilitate participant achievement of all objectives at each stage, conducting regular assessments of abilities and readiness for progression.
• Manage equipment effectively, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and report any issues promptly.
• Direct any customer inquiries or complaints to the appropriate channels.
• Contribute proactively to the enhancement of the L2S programme, providing feedback to the swimming coordinator as necessary.
• Promote safe conduct and proper use of facilities by all participants, adhering to established operational procedures.
• Ensure personal safety and that of others, cooperating with management to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Familiarize yourself with and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate commitment to the organization's values and objectives.
• Follow safeguarding policies and report any child protection concerns to the designated safeguarding lead.
• Participate in workforce development sessions and meetings as required, even outside of regular hours.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Swimming Coordinator, including administrative tasks relevant to the role.

As an Aquatic Instructor, significant experience in a swimming pool environment is essential, along with a recognized Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification.

Preferred Qualifications: NRASTC or NPLQ certification, or willingness to obtain. Additional qualifications in aquatic disciplines are advantageous.
