Medical Director for Community Perinatal Mental Health

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a special service with a multidisciplinary team, including psychology lead, nurse prescribers, Parent and Infant Psychotherapist, Occupational Therapists, CPNs, Nursery Nurse and Social worker.
The successful applicant will provide day-to-day medical support and service leadership to the Rotherham Community Perinatal Mental Health Team. Most clinical contacts will be face-to-face, but there is scope for remote working where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities- Provide medical support and leadership to the Rotherham Community Perinatal Mental Health Team
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality services
- Develop and implement clinical governance policies and procedures
- Contribute to the development of service strategy and planning
- Full registration with the GMC
- Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Adult Psychiatry or a trainee within six months of completing their CCT
- MRC Psych or equivalent higher qualification
- Previous experience within General Adult Psychiatry
- Experience of psychiatric practice in a range of settings
- Experience of audit and an understanding of the principles of clinical governance
- Prior experience working as a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry
