Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Howard Civil Engineering is a leading civil engineering company that prides itself on building strong relationships with its clients. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our successful commercial team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a commercial calendar of relevant dates, including submission dates for project valuations, payment dates, and project completion dates.
  • Establish accurate interim values based on awareness of our scope, site visits, and constant communication.
  • Submit external applications on time, accurately, and robustly substantiated.
  • Report and upload onto Microsoft Forms with the valuation and final date for payment, and accurate MOS value.
  • Compile project performance reports jointly with the PM and QS.
  • Highlight potential underpayments to the directors and challenge and reinforce our position.
  • Manage change effectively, using tools, trackers, colleagues, and initiative to ensure awareness of entitlement.
Requirements:
  • A background in Civil Engineering or Groundworks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Developing client relationships.
  • At least 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within Civils.
  • Contract knowledge/awareness would be beneficial.
