Job Summary:

Hunter AHP is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team at a thriving NHS Hospital Pharmacy Department in the West Midlands. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications to patients in accordance with prescriptions and hospital policies
  • Verify patient information and medication orders to ensure accuracy
  • Operate pharmacy equipment and technology to prepare and package medications
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve medication-related issues
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of medication dispensing and inventory management

Requirements:

  • NVQL2 qualification and experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software
