We are seeking a Technical Support Services Engineer to join our team in the delivery of the UK MOD P8 contract. As part of the Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) team, you will provide Military Aviation Authority Regulatory Publication (MRP) compliant support to the P8 Mil CAMO (Military Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) or critical technical issues.
  • Manage significant and repetitive defects to minimize operational disruption.
  • Oversee operational reliability to identify and mitigate emerging technical issues.
  • Oversee deferred defect levels and manage outsourced defect management functions to ensure service levels and targets are met.
  • Manage longer technical investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Support the fleet configuration, modification, and repair implementation strategy.
  • Support end-to-end repair processes.
  • Support the generation of SIs, RTIs, UTIs, and CAMO Technical Instructions.
  • Support the processing of unsatisfactory features reports.
  • Support the review and recommendation for TAA authorization deviation requests from approved technical information.
  • Support continuing airworthiness management requirements on a day-to-day basis, supporting relevant local Mil CAMO meetings.
  • Support the development and improvement of continuing airworthiness processes.
  • Support the development of Continuing Airworthiness Management metrics and appropriate dashboards to assist day-to-day management, performance monitoring, and drive continuous improvement opportunities as they emerge.
  • Support MAA Audits.
  • Support the correct and proper use of the Safety Management System. Support the correct and proper use of the Quality Management System, supporting internal and external Quality Assurance Audits and associated Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and corrective action plans.
Essential Competencies:
  • Qualifications: UK HND and higher, or international equivalent OR experience of similar role.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and appropriate experience related to Continuing Airworthiness.
  • Technical knowledge and experience on the P8 and/or Boeing 737 aircraft type.
  • Understanding and application of UK Military Aviation Regulations (MRP Part M & Part 145) and UK MoD Airworthiness Policies.
  • Experience in the application of processes and culture in an aircraft Operations environment.
  • Experience in the application of Air Safety Standards and safe operating practices.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively on the planning and execution of work.
  • Able to engage with internal and external stakeholders, identifying obstacles, coordinating with leaders and team members to effectively resolve issues.
  • Able to effectively execute opportunities to improve internal and external processes.
  • Proven strong communication and diplomatic skills.
  • The ability to obtain UK Security clearance.
Desirable Competencies:
  • Previous UK Military Service CAMO experience.
  • Previous experience in Airworthiness Assurance auditing activities.
  • Technical knowledge and experience on the P8 aircraft type.
  • Technical knowledge and experience on other Large airliner-type aircraft.
  • Familiarity with the use of GOLDesp and GOLD MRO as Maintenance Management Systems.
  • UK MoD Form 700 Series and ERCs (Engineering Record Cards) knowledge.
  • Able to support aircraft Occurrences Safety Investigations.
  • An understanding of UK Aviation DDH (Delivery Duty Holder) requirements.
  • Knowledge of QMS (Quality Management Systems) including AS9100.
  • UK Professional Registration (Incorporated Engineer or higher) or international equivalent.
