Deputy Care Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Care Manager to join our team at a beautiful care home in Colchester. As a Deputy Care Manager, you will play a vital role in assisting the Home Manager in managing operations within the home, ensuring the provision of high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations, including overseeing care staff and assuming full management in the absence of the Home Manager.
  • Train and supervise care staff in all aspects of their work, promoting a culture of excellence and high-quality care.
  • Conduct pre-admission assessments of residents, ensure accurate and up-to-date care plans, and foster effective communication with residents' families and external organizations.
Requirements:
  • Previous Deputy Home Manager experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with residents, families, and external professionals.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards and regulations.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, residents, and external partners.
