Job Summary:

Lancashire County Council is seeking a committed individual to join our catering team at St Mary's High School in Leyland. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, healthy meals for school children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food and beverages
  • Clean all equipment and catering areas

Requirements:

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
  • Good customer care skills
  • Previous catering and food preparation experience desirable

Working Hours/Days:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Term time only
  • 5 hours per week, 1 hour each day Monday to Friday, although hours are variable depending upon school meal uptake
