Responsibilities:

  • Manage order entry and ensure exceptional customer service
  • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams regarding transportation and delivery logistics
  • Maintain accuracy in pricing and billing, ensuring customers are charged correctly
  • Oversee daily and weekly invoicing and batch statement processes
  • Provide accurate documentation to customers and transport companies to facilitate smooth operations
  • Ensure proper stock receipt and management, addressing any discrepancies
  • Conduct regular stock control and cycle counts
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards as per the company's quality management system
  • Foster strong working relationships with colleagues across sales, finance, quality, and operations


Role Expectations:
The Branch Operations Supervisor will be responsible for achieving exceptional performance within the branch, focusing on:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service
  • Effectively managing and developing team members
  • Enhancing branch sales and profitability
  • Maintaining high operational standards
  • Providing relevant training to the team to ensure up-to-date product and procedural knowledge
  • Efficiently managing stock and vehicle utilization
  • Ensuring compliance with mandatory training and safety protocols
  • Coordinating biannual stock takes
  • Assisting management with additional tasks as required


In this role, you will work closely with the Branch Manager to meet sales and profit objectives, manage costs, and monitor key performance indicators while promoting a positive health and safety culture.


Location: Birmingham
Salary: Negotiable based on experience, approximately £40,000
