Procurement Strategist

Our client, a renowned global business, is seeking a seasoned Procurement Lead to develop and implement global purchasing strategies for high-value engineered components. The successful candidate will work closely with the Group CFO to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, leveraging international buying power to maximize supply chain value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement global purchasing strategies for high-value engineered components
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal prices and commercial terms
• Identify opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships with clients
• Review supplier performance and identify areas for improvement
• Work closely with international site leads to understand purchasing issues at local country level

Requirements:

• Engineering background with exposure to procurement in relation to high-value or engineered components
• Significant experience in a senior-level procurement role
• Excellent commercial acumen in relation to procurement terms and conditions
• Ability to travel globally with regular trips outside the UK
