Job SummaryWe are seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team on a seasonal basis. As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out grounds maintenance and repair work, driving community improvements and enhancing the appearance of our properties.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out grass cutting and edging-off work using a combination of strimmers, small and large pedestrian mowers, and ride-on mowers.
- Cut back and prune hedges, shrubs, bushes, and low trees using hedge trimmers, loppers, pole-saws, or chain saws.
- Carry out seeding and turfing of grassed areas, planting or re-planting of shrub and flower beds, and other horticultural tasks.
- Inspect, clear, tidy, mow, strim, and make safe play areas and play equipment, including carrying out minor repairs.
- Act as a point of contact for residents, responding to their queries, and providing excellent customer service.
- Full UK driving license.
- Experience working in a grounds maintenance environment.
- Customer-oriented with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Experience operating a variety of grounds maintenance equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and site safety.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills for record-keeping purposes.
- Salary of £23,088 per annum.
- 27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays (pro-rata).
