Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Branch Manager to lead our Norwich branch and drive the efficient and effective delivery of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Norwich branch, ensuring the smooth running of all departments and providing guidance and support to your team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, identifying their needs and consistently delivering exceptional customer service.
- Manage and motivate a team of depot operatives, providing guidance, training, and ongoing support to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Monitor sales performance, analyse market trends, and implement strategies to drive sales growth and increase market share.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with manufacturing and distribution to ensure adequate stock availability and timely order fulfilment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and implement business strategies, goals, and objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the building merchant, building plastics or construction industry.
- A valid driver's license.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with trade customers.
- Strong understanding of sales strategies and techniques.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
- Knowledge of building plastics and related products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to work independently, effectively prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude and a proactive approach to work.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance.
