Key Responsibilities:

  • Skillfully diagnosing faults, performing maintenance, and executing emergency repairs on various plant machinery including Excavators, Telehandlers, Mini-diggers, Dumpers, Rollers, powered access equipment, and generators.
  • Engaging in a hybrid role that encompasses both workshop and fieldwork, with increasing mobility as the team and business expand.
  • Overseeing, guiding, and developing the mobile team according to your vision, with opportunities for progression into supervisory or management roles as the team grows.
  • Conducting work on engines, batteries, pneumatics, and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the Plant or Forklift sectors (essential)
  • Background in hydraulics, with mechanical and electrical skills (essential)
  • Familiarity with engines and batteries (essential)
  • Expertise in electrical and/or mechanical fault diagnosis, repair, and maintenance (essential)
  • A strong desire to lead, manage, and cultivate a team
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Valid UK Driver's License
