We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join our dynamic team at a Cambridge School. As a champion for interfaith understanding, you will play a vital role in empowering young minds to explore the rich tapestry of religious traditions, philosophies, and ethical frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Engaging Lessons: Create inclusive and thought-provoking lessons that encourage students to develop critical thinking skills and a sense of empathy for diverse viewpoints.
  • Master the Curriculum: Deliver the RE curriculum effectively across all Key Stages (KS3-KS5), ensuring students gain a strong foundation in key concepts, core philosophies, and the historical development of major world religions.
  • Nurture Respectful Dialogue: Foster a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring their own beliefs while learning to understand and respect those of others.
  • Spark Lifelong Learning: Cultivate a love for lifelong learning about the role of religion, philosophy, and ethics in society, motivating students to see the power of faith and understanding in building bridges across cultures and communities.
  • Embrace the Journey: Guide students on their personal exploration of faith and values, fostering inclusivity and creating a space for open and respectful dialogue.
Requirements:
  • Strong Understanding: A deep understanding of religious traditions, philosophical concepts, and various teaching methodologies is essential.
  • Relevant Qualifications: A relevant teaching qualification (QTS desirable) and experience teaching are required.
