The Role of Patent Administrator

As a Patent Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of the firm's patent department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Filing and Prosecution: Managing the filing of UK, European and international patent applications, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Documentation and Records: Maintaining accurate records, handling correspondence with clients, patent offices, and foreign agents and ensuring all documentation is up to date and compliant with legal requirements
  • Client Support: Providing administrative support to the patent attorneys, liaising with clients and managing their portfolios
  • Renewals and Invoicing: Coordinating the renewal of patents, handling invoicing and managing the payment of official fees
