Position Overview:

This role involves delivering high-quality education to students in mathematics while actively participating in the professional and community life of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive instruction in mathematics, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that align with curriculum standards.
  • Assess and document student progress, providing feedback to inform teaching strategies.
  • Support students in preparing for examinations and relevant qualifications.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive learning environment and uphold school standards.
  • Engage in collaborative planning and improvement initiatives within the school and council.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and support the growth of colleagues, including new and student teachers.

Qualifications Required:

  • Recognized teaching qualification in mathematics.
  • Full registration with the General Teaching Council (Scotland) in the relevant subject area or eligibility for such registration.
  • Membership in the PVG scheme for working with children.
