Position Overview:
This role involves delivering high-quality education to students in mathematics while actively participating in the professional and community life of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive instruction in mathematics, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that align with curriculum standards.
- Assess and document student progress, providing feedback to inform teaching strategies.
- Support students in preparing for examinations and relevant qualifications.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive learning environment and uphold school standards.
- Engage in collaborative planning and improvement initiatives within the school and council.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and support the growth of colleagues, including new and student teachers.
Qualifications Required:
- Recognized teaching qualification in mathematics.
- Full registration with the General Teaching Council (Scotland) in the relevant subject area or eligibility for such registration.
- Membership in the PVG scheme for working with children.
