About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Education team at Talocher School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and pupils with their educational activities, while also providing individualized support to meet the needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering educational activities to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and needs.
  • Provide individualized support to pupils, including those with SEMH or ASC needs, to help them access the curriculum and achieve their best outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support pupil behavior and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's curriculum, including the design and delivery of vocational learning opportunities.
  • Support the class teacher in maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and development.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. You will also need to be highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively.
