About the Role

Oxford International College is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our senior leadership team as Deputy Head Pastoral and Designated Safeguarding Lead.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting the well-being, safety, and personal development of all students, ensuring a supportive and nurturing school environment.

This role also includes the critical responsibility of leading the school's safeguarding and child protection initiatives.

This is a key role within the College involving collaboration with a wide range of senior and middle leaders.

All post holders in regulated activity (having regular unsupervised contact with children) are subject to appropriate national and international vetting procedures including satisfactory criminal record checks from both your country of residence/birth and any country of residence within the last 10 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the school's safeguarding and child protection initiatives
  • Collaborate with senior and middle leaders to promote a supportive and nurturing school environment
  • Ensure the well-being, safety, and personal development of all students
Requirements

Enhanced DBS check required

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils

Ability to work collaboratively with senior and middle leaders

Strong leadership and management skills

Experience in safeguarding and child protection
